WE THANK THE HUNDREDS OF YOU who have already participated in our upcoming commemorative pictorial book featuring the history of our county and its citizens. For those of you who have yet to submit your photographs for inclusion, good news, you still have time to participate! You will truly regret it if you are left out of this historic publication! WHO MAY BE INCLUDED IN THIS BOOK? Anyone who has ever lived in Camden County.
WHAT DOES IT COST TO HAVE MY FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHS PUBLISHED? Nothing! You don't even have to purchase a book to be included.
WHAT MUST I DO TO BE INCLUDED? Send any photographs for consideration by mail or drop them off at the Camden County Museum. You can send original photographs and we will handle them with care, or send professional duplicate prints (no Xerox copies) of any irreplaceable photographs. Please write your name, address and a caption on the back explaining who and what is depicted in the photograph and, if possible, the date it was taken. Your pictures will be reviewed for content and clarity, with the goal of using as many as possible.
WHAT TYPES OF PHOTOGRAPHS SHOULD I SEND? We want our book to show the richness and diversity of Camden County, including all ways and walks of life, family members, businesses, events, schools and churches, and more (see inside for a complete list of suggested ideas) ! Your photographs will help make this book something to be cherished for generations, and will ensure that your photographs are preserved for all to enjoy!
WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE DETAILED CAPTIONS FOR MY PHOTOGRAPHS? Send them anyway, and tell us what you do know about the photographs, i.e.. who is pictured and the approximate date it was taken. In fact, the historical society may be able to provide you with additional information on your photos?
WHAT WILL THE BOOK LOOK LIKE? This hardbound, collector's quality, 8 1/2' x 1 1 book will be beautifully bound in a rich, leatherette cover with a gold foil stamped seal depicting Camden County's heritage on the front cover and a gold lettered spine. It will be printed on luxurious archive-quality paper and crafted with a smyth-sewn binding for durability. This book will be in libraries and offices across the county, state and USA! This book will be a family heirloom that can be handed down from generation to generation.
HOW MAY I PURCHASE A BOOK? This historic book is available on a special, pre-sale basis and is priced at $37.95 plus shipping (a savings of nearly 15% - the price will increase to $42.95 or more later)! That means that only those who order now, before publication, will be assured a copy of this LIMITED EDITION printing. Send check or money order and the enclosed order form to the Camden County Pictorial Book Committee no later than January 30, 2010.
